Rock That Uke in Balto!

June 21, 2003

RTU co-director Sean Anderson, tremulous and jittery with excitement to the point of near catatonia, stands outside the Creative Alliance's Patterson Theater, where a screening of RTU was followed by the first of our live uke concerts. Our thanks to Megan Hamilton and Kristen Anchor of the Creative Alliance for putting on an incredible show.
Skizz Cyzyk (on Risa Uke Stick) and Scott Brown (on melodica) do their pre-concert sound check. Skizz's music video DAMN YOU MR. BUSH was screened before RTU. During the concert portion of the evening, Skizz and Scott played their uke-and- melodica cover of King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man, among other tunes.

Newlyweds Carmaig de Forest and Diana Froley perform their irreverent song about Matel's Barbie doll, mere hours after Diana survived a sewer rat attack in the streets Washington. Talk about a pro!

Songs From a Random House provide a double dose of violas to go along with their customary double dose of ukes as founding member (and current Fleastomper) Don Peyton joins them.
